Workshops are back!

I’m now running occasional in-person workshops in line with current Government guidelines.

We’re in a new venue, with lots of outside space for when the weather is kind to us and a well-ventilated village hall for when it isn’t!

Covid-19 update: Due to the ongoing situation and regular changes in Government guidelines, I am currently only releasing dates a few weeks in advance. As ‘organised exercise’ in ‘a Covid-secure venue’ these workshops are not subject to the Rule of 6, however I always keep numbers intentionally low and my workshops tend to sell out quickly. We all tend to spend most of our waking hours ‘in our heads’. When we consciously reconnect to our body, we ground ourselves, reminding our mind that it’s ok to stop, to be still. We make space for our Self.

I choose intimate venues and keep numbers intentionally low to ensure that each workshop offers a tranquil, peaceful experience for all participants.

Making Space: half day workshop

These 3-hour workshops are a great way to deepen an existing yoga practice. They’re also perfect for anyone who’s interested in taking time to make space in their life, with or without previous yoga experience.

The exact programme will reflect the needs of the participants on the day, but will always include some or all of the following elements:

  • Asana (postures): Mindful exploration of traditional hatha yoga postures for grounding, centring and stability
  • Silent sitting: sitting quietly and watching our own breath is one of the most beneficial things we can do, and doing so as a group can be particularly powerful
  • Pranayama (breathing exercises): Another key component (or limb) of traditional hatha yoga which is deeply healing and particularly beneficial in the current circumstances
  • Sound work: using our voice is a great way of coming fully into our body as well as raising our vibrational frequency. We may explore some simple sounds together (absolutely no singing ability required!)
  • Yoga nidra (aka yogic sleep): a powerful and deeply relaxing experience during which participants lie still in śavasana (relaxation) pose while consciously experiencing a guided meditation
  • Essential oils: high quality essential oils can help take our yoga and meditation practice to another level as well as acting as powerful anchors (NB: if you are sensitive to EOs and/or prefer not to work with them, please contact me to discuss before booking)

Private and group workshops

In addition to my public Mind Body Connect workshops I also work with small groups of friends or colleagues to create a bespoke, retreat-style experience at a time and place of their choosing. This can be a wonderful alternative to a spa day if you are looking for a conscious, connected way to celebrate a special birthday, forthcoming wedding or other milestone.

Mind-Body Connect Half Day Workshop, Petersfield

Saturday 31st August, 10am-1pm

The second of two half-day workshops in August, this is an opportunity to step away from your busy life for a few hours, making time to breathe and (re)connect with your Self. Why not book into both and guarantee yourself some non-negotiable me-time this summer?

The workshops are a great way to deepen an existing yoga practice but are also suitable for anyone who’s interested in taking time to reconnect with their body, with or without previous yoga experience.

There are just 8 places available on each and the exact format will reflect the needs of the people in the room on the day, but is likely to include:

  • Asanas (postures): Mindful exploration of traditional Hatha yoga postures for grounding, centring and stability
  • Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) – a powerful and deeply relaxing experience during which you lie in Savasana (relaxation) pose during a guided meditation
  • Sound work: using our voice is a great way of connecting with our body; we will explore some simple sounds (absolutely no singing ability required!)
